21 Aug Passion for Power 2016
Wolseley Owners Club attended the ‘Passion for Power’ Classic Motor show on 20th and 21st August at Tatton Park in Cheshire. This massive 2000+ classics show was, in spite of the weather, mainly windy and raining, well attended. There were 90 classic car clubs and many private entries at the event. The competition was tough, with all the powerful dream and super cars on show, Wolseley Owners Club were lucky and delighted to be awarded a ‘Best Club Stand’ award, 5th Place out of 90 car clubs attending and one of our members – Bob Cole was awarded ‘Best Wolseley’ in show for his stunning maroon Wolseley 6/110 on display on the club stand. 35 Wolseleys and a member’s Austin were on the club stand over the weekend and over 80 members, families and friends attended the event. Thanks to Stuart Holmes and his team at Cheshire Auto Promotions whose organisation of the exhibits and events was excellent. Many thanks to everyone for attending, including members of the WOC team whose hard work in setting up and taking down of the club stand was much appreciated, lead by Gordon Purger and Mark Atkinson. We look forward to attending ‘WOCFEST 3’ at Tatton Park in 2017.
