30 Nov NEC Classic Car Restoration show 2019
The Club was represented at the NEC Classic Car Restoration show this year, and I would like to thank Peter Bazley (Director) our Membership Officer, for all his time and the work he put in to make the stand props, thank you Peter. And I would also like to thank Kimberley Parsonage our Merchandise Officer for giving up her weekend away from her young family to set up and promote the Clubs Merchandise.
Also, many thanks to Tony for bringing `Happy` to the show it was great to see such a fine example of a Wolseley 10 Hp (soon to be 100 yrs old). And I mean the car. Tony has been having it lovingly restored by one of our own (David Ashburner) and what a fantastic job he has been doing of it as well.
And many thanks to Chris from across the border in Wales, thank you Chris for bringing your 1500 to the show, she is a great looking car. And it was nice to hear that you have had it on the TV series The Crown recently. I look forward to doing an article on that in future Wisely’s. I do think we had a really good selection from a 1922 model through the 1950’s right up to the 1960’s.
The show was a great success as it always is and the Club did alright out of it as well, Kimberley sold a bit of merchandise include a set of the new Six Eighty Scripts and we had a couple of membership enquiries. One new member paid up on the day which was fantastic, he had travelled all the way from Glasgow to come to the show.
Looking forward already to The Restoration show in March hope more of you will try and come along to see us. We will be putting quite a show for the public, by stripping a Six Eighty.
