Morton Media’s Classic and Performance Car Spectacular on the weekend of 1st and 2nd June at Tatton Park in Knutsford, Cheshire, was excellent. Wolseley Owners Club (WOC), Cambridge Oxford Owners Club (COOC) and Landcrab Owners Club International (LOCI) were once again on a group Club stand ‘BMC Friends Together’. Over 100 classic vehicles were on the stand over the weekend and over 200 members, family and friends attended. Harris Mann, Wolseley Owners Club Patron was on the Club stand all weekend chatting with many members and members of other Clubs attending the event of which he is also Patron. Thanks go to Harris, our members, family and friends for attending, Mortons Media – Andy, Josh and team for their great organisation, also to COOC Chairman Taff and to Eddie and Ian from COOC, LOCI Chairman Clive and to Mark and Dave from LOCI and to WOC Chairman Andrew and to Chris, Peter, Kimberley and Steve from the Club team for all their organisation and hard work. Everyone looks forward to attending again next year.
The Spectacular is a massive show celebrating the golden age of motoring, offering the chance to walk around and view around 2000 cars from clubs and private exhibitors. More than 90 car clubs exhibited their vehicles. There was also the opportunity to pick up some bargains at the autojumble where there were approximately 200 stalls offering a vast array of parts and automobilia. Also available was light entertainment with children’s rides, refreshments and bar.
Lancaster Insurance reinforced its commitment to the industry by supporting this show at Tatton Park this year as headline sponsor, as one of three classic car events to be held there in 2019.
The show acknowledges the vital role the clubs play in promoting their chosen marque and historic vehicles in general, to not only keep the classic movement alive but to increase its appeal to the next generation.
