18 Aug Lincoln Steam and Vintage Rally 2018
The best events some say are those that don’t focus exclusively on cars, some other vintage machinery is always a good thing! Lincoln Steam and Vintage Rally on 18th and 19th August has been going for 33 years its held on the county showground near Lincoln, a great place to be the roads are tarmac and plenty of toilets, even showers. Over 1500 exhibits including : 95 steam engines, fairground organs , vintage tractors, 250+ cars, commercials, motor cycles, stationary engines, model and craft exhibition, military vehicles, miniatures in steam, and lots of trade stands of all description, something to suit everyone. You can camp from Thursday to Monday and its free if you have an exhibit, we have been going to this show since 2008 and it is a great event to attend. One of the photos is of a 1923 Wolseley Ten, and in all the years we have been at this show and this car is always there. The other photo is a 1896 Shand Mason horse drawn steam fire engine bought in 1896 by the Duke of Portland for Welbeck Abbey. Found in 2016 in a thousand pieces, restored and built back together over 2 years. So for us, one of the best shows to attend and something for all the family.
