Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, NEC 2015

Wolseley Owners Club members enjoyed the three day Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham, 13-15th November 2015.

It was great to see many existing members attending the show and meet many new ones joining the club over the weekend. There was much to see at the show in different halls.

The three Wolseleys on the stand – a Wolseley Mudlark (one of only two known), a Wolseley 21/60 County and a Wolseley 25 hp – drew much attention from members and the public alike with many questions being asked and answered about these Wolseleys and other models.

With a 1940’s theme, some of the team in 1940’s dress, welcomed members and visitors to the stand with tea, coffee and cakes; we were very busy.

Also on the stand was Club Patron Harris Mann, designer of the last Wolseley – the 18-22 ‘Wedge’, amongst other classic cars. Other visitors included Nick Larkin, staff writer, Classic Car Weekly and Fuzz Townshend, TV presenter from ‘Car SOS’.

Club merchandise was popular and much interest was shown in the new club grille badge, which will be ready for sale in January 2016, along with the new club magazine binders.

The Club will be back at the Restoration show at the NEC next year in March 2016.
