The Wolseley Owners Club members and team, enjoyed a fantastic weekend at Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire over the weekend of 18-19 August 2013 where the club was awarded 2nd place Best ‘Single Make’ Display on Saturday.

The club had 29 members cars on the stand over the weekend – 27 Wolseleys, one MG Magnette and one classic Jaguar, all of which drew much attention. Over 60 members / partners and friends visited the stand, it was very busy.

The Cheshire Auto Promotions Classic, Vintage and Sportscar Show at Tatton Park in North West England, celebrates the ‘Golden Age of Motoring’. There was a great Car Mart, large Autojumble, trade stands, live entertainment, something for all the family and over 90 top club stands there and individual exhibits.

A record 40 bacon and egg rolls were made and consumed for breakfasts on the stand and the members enjoyed a great BBQ in the early afternoons. Many cups of tea and coffee were enjoyed and plenty of Wolseley chat could be heard. What an absolutely brilliant weekend.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the club was awarded 2nd place, best ‘Single Make’ display by the show organisers and then one of our members, Steve Darnell, was also awarded a trophy for ‘Best Wolseley’ in the show!

Over the weekend on our club stand we exhibited two Series III – 25hp Limousines, 1300, 4/44, 15/50, 6/90Wasp, two Eights, 1500 Mk I, Series III – 12/48, Series III – 18/85, two 16/60 and three 18/85, along with an MG Magnette and a Jaguar.

Next year in 2014 for the shows in June and August, a much bigger stand is planned, we have outgrown the one we had.
