The Wolseley Owners Club stand showed four Wolseleys on both days at Glamis Castle for the 40th Scottish Transport Extravaganza on the 12th and 13th July 2014.

Upon the stand a 1954 Wolseley 4/44, a Wolseley 6/80, a 1958 Wolseley 15/50, and a 1963 Wolseley 1500 Mk III, also on display, a member also exhibited a 1933 Wolseley 21/60.

It was a lovely day on the Friday – good for a drive to the beautiful and stately Glamis Castle. We inspected where the stand was going to go and found they had moved it from where it was displayed on the map so it was all a bit confusing.

On Saturday it was up early to put up the gazebo etc on the stand and to get things organised. Malcolm came along with his 6/80 as well as Phill and Catriona who had a 1500 Mk III.

The stand soon filled up with both OXY, Phillip’s 4/44 and Pippa, Cattie’s 15/50 there as well. We had plenty of visitors and the judge came to look at Pippa at one stage but turned away when he saw that her inside is somewhat tatty.

Saturday night a BBQ was enjoyed under a loaned gazebo in the campsite by Malcolm, Phillip and Cattie, whilst it began to rain outside late into the evening. With wine and ale flowing – life was looking good!

By Sunday morning the sun was out and the ground quickly drying out. Back to the stand nice and early after a cooked breakfast. Pippa went in the ring for the Classic Cars 1952 – 1962 along with the 1500.

Pippa also attended the period dress competition where Cattie dressed up as a WWII nurse!

By 5pm most of the folk had left the show and it was time to pack up. This was done most expeditiously with help from Malcolm. Overall a very busy and productive weekend with much interest shown from visitors to the show.
