On 29th April 1935 the ‘Series’ models of Wolseley were introduced – replacing the former ‘yearly’ range of models. This New Hornet Saloon being larger than the previous Hornet.
This New Hornet Saloon was an entirely fresh development being larger whilst retaining its former looks of the earlier Hornet, the radiator being of an improved design for instance. The fitting of “easi-clean” pressed steel wheels being a notable feature from previous models.
Approximately 2500 were produced before being replaced by the Series II – 12/48 on 4th April 1936.
